USI stayed in the hostel. Bram (owner) came right out to greet me and was very hospitable and helpful. I loved being able to explore the village and get ideas from Bram on others places to ride to. He gave me excellent recommendation for routes. I liked the tranquility of the place, and that I could make my own meals and still be within walking distance to good local restaurants.
There was nothing I didn't like.

GBWhat an incredible place this is. Its very clean, spacious and has amazing nature around the hostel . The host is fantastic who is happy to help you on what to do in the area and is very nice. The place has some comfortable outdoor seating and pets to keep you company. I absolutely loved this place, by far the best hostel I have ever stayed in so far.
There isn't a great deal of local shops selling produce so you'll have to go to the nearby town for a better selection of produce. The village does have resturants though, one being 50 feet away from the hostel.
DEDEThe Babou Maramures was my favourite hostel during my entire trip. The hosts are super friendly. The hostel itself is cozy and relaxing with everything you need. The beautiful garden is the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. I felt at home and it was my happy place in Romania. I'll visit again. For sure. 💚
