HoStel Cosmopolitan*

Spacious room (I stayed in a 6-bed one), really comfortable bed, well-arranged sleeping area. Locker. Cleanliness is great. There are two shared kitchens, a small one upstairs and the main one in the basement. Great common areas inside and outside. Definitely recommended.

Reception is not that easy to find, it is in a side street, but the info sent in advance helps. The rooms at the main street side of the building tend to be noisy with open windows, but that is how cobblestoned roads make our life noisy in modern times.

I loved everything about this place. The beds were very comfortable, there was a common kitchen (microwave only, no cooker), a little bistro area outdoors. Everything was very clean. The reception is in the bowling alley, and the staff were professional and kind. I left my luggage with them before check in. There is a vietnamese restaurant above it with good value food. It was almost empty, and I had a dorm room to myself. It deserves to be busier as the hostel is really great and Banska Stiavnica is such a cute little town you just want to give it a hug.
