AF Stays - Philadelphia Convention Center

Quite suitable place when it comes to the location (nearest the Philadelphia Convention Center where I have the meeting). The other direction from the place is close to China town which was comfortable for me to look for dinner.

The 1st floor is quite noisy towards the night time. I hate the disco and the noise from neighbors' rooms. I stayed on the 2nd floor. The passcodes were extremely nightmare. At least 3 passcodes required, one for building entrance, one for 2nd floor, one for my room. Even the last 2 passcode were incorrect and need urgent help, but nobody to contact, even phone contact. I emailed the host via booking.com to get the instructions, finally, issues have been fixed.

The location was great for my work events. The room and facilities were clean. The value was great for the room

Good Location.

If you can sit the whole night with ear-plug without sleeping, this apartment is for you. Because, there is a Bar at downstairs which play loud music until 5am, u can feel that even the table is shaking/ vibrating due to very loud noise from the Bar downstairs.

The bed is memory foam, so that was nice. (Didn't get to enjoy it, read on.)

You get this hotel because it's cheap, so you shouldn't expect much. It's located on the first floor of a run-down building. The rooms have no windows or other natural light. There's two shared bathrooms and a kitchen which are fine enough. Everything is surprisingly antagonistic. Camera's with "smile, you're on camera" in front of the door and in the kitchen, extensive reminders about quiet time (more on that later) and strict rules about checking in, checking out, what you can and can't do. So that quiet time. You get reminded a lot that quiet time is between 10pm and 8am. Sounds great. Except I got woken up at 2am (on a Wednesday) by the sound of the glass of the bedside lamp vibrating along with the thumping bass of the nightclub on the other side of the wall. I wish I was exaggerating, but before long every part of my hotel room was vibrating along. This lasted until 4:30. I sent a message to the hotel staff, but before it ended I had another hotel booked and left, so while I stayed here a single night, I slept zero. The hotel staff replied two days later, asking if I 'knew where it came from' like they didn't know exactly where their hotel was located. Don't go here if you plan to use a hotel room for sleeping.

Good room, comfortable bed, clean bathrooms, easy communication/arrival, good service.

It was difficult to find the entrance from the street. Better signage would be helpful. Stairs on the way in were dirty. Loud machine like noise late at night.

SO MANY THINGS. Terrible place and no one should stay here. 1) it’s gross- I saw stains all over the towels, urine stains in bathrooms, it was dirty, and just overall unhygienic. 2) it’s loud- horribly loud and couldn’t sleep until 2 am because of the music playing downstairs 3) out of nowhere, the staff knocked on our door at 10 am when we didn’t request a wake up call. That is incredibly rude and intrusive and my friend and I did not appreciate that. 4) overly expensive- way too pricey for a place that doesn’t even have windows in its rooms.

Difficult communication with property managers (only through booking.com), the codes given to us did not work and through tedious communication we finally got the right ones, little to no sound isolations so we heard the club’s music from midnight to 4am, room had no windows, stairway to the second floor is gross, armchair in the room was full of mold
