The Vibe House - Chillout Hostel

Property was in central location so was in the middle of activities we wanted to do. Room was large. We were able to rent a scooter. (Although price seemed a little steep 130k)

Staff were very hostile if you didn’t want to do the trip they organise. Breakfast is free which we were happy about but staff made us feel like we weren’t allowed breakfast. It always took over 40 minutes to come out even when they knew we needed to get to the airport. Room was dirty and we didn’t feel welcomed at all. We were given no information about the breakfast/ Wi-Fi/ scooter price and had to ask. Breakfast is also served very late so if you want to get up early then you have to miss out. If you like drinking every evening and waking up late the next day then this place is for you, if not, I suggest searching elsewhere.

A relaxed atmosphere with hosts that really wanted you to have a good stay on the island. There were plenty of opportunities to explore the island with the hosts and guests. This was one of my favourite spots to stay during my travels. :)

The owners were amazing, just the best. So accomodating and knowledgeable. the tours they put on were the best and they never stopped being the most lovely people. The dorm rooms were super spacious and super comfortable. Awesome AC and the beds were super private and comfy. Honestly couldn’t fault it for the time I was there

A great place to stay close to town, and fun tours organised by the staff. Highly recommended to stay here if you are travelling solo as it's easy to meet other people. Good value for money and enjoyed the fresh breakfast prepared each morning.

The area was interesting and the dog is cute, all was just a low tatty standard but bearable until an incident this man instigated.

The owner is a weak lying man, rude and disrespectful in particular to older women. I had to calm this bully down when my mother arrived to visit me and she dared to be in distress and shout for help from the forest. She has Addison disease and a broken leg and could feel an adrenal crash approaching. I've been training MMA for ten years, this little man tested my self control for the first time in my life of 20 years. He also has a disturbing interest in the very young "naive female travellers" and the female washrooms after dark,I saw him creeping about at 11:30 while a young lady was in there(check for devices ladies) He has tried to manipulate reviews off disgruntled customers by cancelling after they leave. This is fraudulent and a crime. I dread to think how many women and elderly people have been silenced in this way. The 5* reviews are obviously from naive rich kids who know of no other hostels and want to look like they have no problem spending daddies money "roughing it" I saw no female staff/cleaner or "wife" so a little suspicious why a "female only dorm"?

The owner is full of good energy, not just organizing tours just for his guests but he’d join us as our guide. The hostel itself is really chill, a cool place in the beginning of the hostel with couches where you can get drinks and breakfast. The rooms have great matresses, a lot of powerplugs and a good AC.
