Leaving.

There were cocoons all over the room that dropped on the bed occasionally and there was Cockroach's running around the room, bed was rock hard and that was very disappointing as I just got off an 8-hour sleeping bus and my back was very sore, wasn't a very social hostel as it seemed only locals were staying there. Was also a very dangerous fire hazard as the lady put a combination lock on the door and locked the front gate every night so the only way to get in was to ring her until she gave me the combination on the second day and I left after that. The window was also screwed shut so no ventilation which made the room very uncomfortable.

Clean room

We paid extra for a “superior double room” which was tiny and just fit a bed in with the smallest bathroom imaginable. Just book the double room and save a bit of money, I don’t think you could get any smaller. Wouldn’t call this a hostel, more of a homestay. There’s no social area and the entrance to the hostel is where the owners hang out with friends and family all day so very much feels like their space. We don’t speak Vietnamese and the owners didn’t speak any English so communication was hard, such as asking for toilet roll and just kept getting told no as they didn’t know what we were asking for. 2 of the 3 nights we were here the family were singing into a microphone all evening which was LOUD and could be heard loudly in our room on the 4th floor. Although the room was clean, the shower drain was very blocked and after a 2 minute shower the bathroom would flood and on one occasion even leaked out of the bathroom into the room and even into the hallway. Personally, wouldn’t recommend it.

It was in a good location and the rooms where nice .

The air conditioning in the room didn't work and the window didn't open so it was uncomfortably hot.
