Pai My Way Hostel

Really happy with our stay. Ameli was super attentive and caring, making sure we were comfortable and offering advice. The location was perfect just off of walking street and close to the bars. We stayed in the dorm at the end of the garden so we didn’t have any issues with noise. We found the beds to be very comfortable and a good size, but the mattress is on the firm side so depends on personal preference. We slept very well! Nice garden area to chill in and it looks pretty at night 🤩

The Garden area outback was really nice to lounge in, very quiet and relaxing during the day

The bathrooms were probably the worst I’ve seen so far in any of my hostels, showers were pretty badly clogged and overflowing, the staff, if any, weren’t attentive

Emily was the best host she can advise you on anything you need! Hostel location was beautiful and such a wonderful spot to chill and mingle & it’s just off walking street opposite the reggae bar which id recommend seeing the bands.

A little noise til late but you have to expect that being so close to walking street.

The location of this hostel is superb! Just a little walk away from the bus station and night market, super easy to find. The host was also really sweet and made sure people were having a good time. I thought I’d get an 8 bedroom since that’s what the pictures showed but I got a 4 instead. I thought the beds were comfortable and the curtain was nice and thick so you had a good amount of privacy and it blocked the light. AC worked great

First thing I noticed was that my room had a glass door which couldn’t be closed. There are some lockers in the room to keep your important belongings safe. The rooms weren’t sound proof. There were some very loud guests just screaming outside at 4am and I could hear it all, same for the reggae bar across the street. I could hear their music until like 1am. The facilities were generally quite dirty and the toilet paper often ran out.

There were no locks on any doors, which would have been fine if there was someone at the reception all the time; there was not. To say the least there was no actual reception. The building with rooftop terrace was in renovation so there was no place you could sit inside. There were only two showers with toilets in them, so when people were showering you could not use any of the facilities. Would not recommend this hostel.

The property itself was really modern, the dorms had only just been refurbished and each bed had its own curtain with plenty of space around your bed. the outside area was also great especially at night with all the lights on. But above all it was the staff that made our stay amazing, Ameli who runs the place was the best host we have had, she was so friendly and very attentive and helped us with anything we needed including coming with us to help us with our visas and even picking them up for us whilst we were tubing ( which she also helped us organise)

2 toilets for 16 people often got crowded but there were more just a bit further away from the dorms.
