Open Gate Hostel Hawaii

Honestly one of the best hostels in the world if you want to get away from the world that is, you definitely need a car but you could also get away with just a bike depending on your fitness levels. I was only meant to stay here a week. I ended up staying there a month. Honestly I fell in love for the place

I loved the open space, lots of gorgeous art on walls and many artists the manager Marissa was AMAZing

The wind it on the lava so constantly windy

Amazing location and unique place

この宿は、公共交通を使って旅をする人には不便な場所にある。しかし、目に焼き付いてしまうような、地球とは違う惑星に来たような、強烈な景色の中で過ごすことができる。 オーナーや宿泊者と作る小さなコミュニティは、束縛はまるで無いのに温かく心地よい。 週に一度開催されるナイトマーケットへ、オーナーが車に乗せて連れて行ってくれたので、とても楽しかった。

部屋のシャワーではお湯が出ない

I like that the hostel was on a lava field, and I could witness a Lehua blooming, the colorfulness of the dwelling, the friendliness of other individuals staying at the hostel, and how accommodating the staff and volunteers were at the hostel. There was ample space for dry foods and refrigerated foods. I had a car, and I was able to visit a place I might not otherwise if I had stayed in Hilo. I devoted my life to creativity and the arts and this space nurtured healing work I am engaged in at this moment. I felt safe as well, and loved being able to visit the star gazing tower.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. Know, if you don't have a car, it might be a bit difficult, but I observe they did have bicycles there.

Marissa, the host greeted us when we arrived, and she is a fountain of information about the area. She encouraged us to visit the volcano while we were there and it was life changing. We saw and experienced episode 41's eruption!
