Pahoa Village Hostel

The room was really clean, as well as the bathroom and the kitchen.

There was a bus stop really close, but the bus was uncertain.

The place is amazing, the rooms are big and has a good view to nature. There are only 3 rooms which make it even better as there is no one disturbing. We really enjoy our stay and we will recommend it.

Nothing to be with the hotel, but there is very weird people in Pāhoa

Great location and love the art style around the bathrooms and outdoor area.

A bit old and there were sumps in the floor and carpet. Pillow protectors were airtight so made the pillows very solid ie. a bit too high for the head to comfortably rest on. Also was quite cold in the night so a duvet for the single beds would be beneficial for future guests.

Loved location! Great value for the price. Very nice rooms.

I wish I knew the shower was in a separate building. The patio was a bit run down and not easy to eat outside when it was raining. Poor shelter during meals.

I loved the price! Accomodation on big island is really expensive 🙈 however, even it was cheap this room was spacious, clean, and all we needed to rest. It's located next to some bar, so we heard music coming out from the street, but once we closed the windows it wasn't an issue at all. The neighbourhood is not the safast one, however, on the property have had 3 locks on the way getting into the room that made us feel secure. .

I absolutely loved my stay. It was great base for Puna, Hilo area, waterfalls and volkanoes. Close to restaurants, grocery store, 7/11 and short drive to a shopping plaza. Building is super cute with nice patio. I miss the cat who lives there! The best option to spend time on the island on a budget! Will returrn!

Incredible location, kind of one street-hippy location in the middle of nowhere, the room was comfy albeit really hot and the noise of passing cars and music in the bar nearby is constant. Nice kitchen area (although hobs would be appreciated), nice outdoors bathrooms (still was malfunctioning, no water pressure and cold water only, we used the back one and it was ok as there was only 2 of us whenever we came home), nice backyard to have drink in the evening or breakfast in the morning provided it has not been raining all night long :-) Lots of restaurants to eat from and very close to Hilo and the more Eastern part of Big Island :-)
