"Perfect location for Herriots way circular hike"

We had a little camp pod for 1 night while hiking Herriots way Right on the route Nice and private and warm Bed comfy People respectful of noise and all quiet by 10pm Comfy shared lounge in hostel Clean shared kitchen self catering Lady at reception super helpful in regards to local shops and sourcing meals

The shower was hot but whole area floods which is minor inconvenience when trying to dry off and get dressed

Fantastic location another pleasant stay. Clean warm room good facilities. Excellent staff very helpful especially Kayleigh.

I hope it survives and is NOT sold as an offer has been made on Grinton YHA. It will be missed by many I hope it can be saved if not there will be no YHA in Swaledale nearest is over 20 miles plus away in Malham.

Lovely check in, secure bike storage and comfy beds

Something to improve upon would be for some hanging racks/pegs or storage space in the rooms to air clothes on or hang towels Towel hire was very expensive at £3.50 vs a bed rate of £20!
