Sunset Backpackers Hostel

An excellent value for money stay in Orchha. We took the upgrade offered by Owner. We had a room on the top floor which was lovely. Very comfy bed. Breakfast and meal options were very good. We arranged laundry which had a v quick turnaround. Owner also arranged our taxi to Khajuraho - which was exceptionally priced , we had the best local taxi driver. Great location too. The staff was very friendly and helped with getting to know the room and booked a tuktuk to Jhansi for us. We got recommendations for the city, cold Pepsi max to buy, we had a nice breakfast, and the view from the hostel was absolutely marvelous, especially the sunset.

Great location, walkable to all the main attractions but off the main road. The owner has provided a suggested walking route through Orchha. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We were very upset to see one of the long term guests take one of the workers’ children into his bedroom and lock the door, while the owner watched. The first room we were given was very dirty including dirty bed sheets.

The price is not that bad but we had had mucho better rooms for less price. Good Hot water

Didn't felt like a hostel, more like a homestay Our room was just in the middle of the reception and the owners Kitchen and wasnt any noise-isolated so we could hear all kind of conversations, didn't felt any pricacy and was quite noisy until 24h washing dishes or making noise with the cuttlery.. and early morning the same. No windows in the room so quite humid, specialy after showers.
