Tiny Private City Rooms Haarlem

Location is good

The bathroom smells terrible, and the air in the room is stuffy. Previous guests have mentioned the same issues, so why hasn’t it been fixed? The overall experience has been uncomfortable, and I just want to leave as soon as possible.

Ideally located room in the centre of Haarlem. Had air conditioning and a bathroom, very clean. Easily accessed and all of Haarlem on your door step.

There were cups for coffee but no spoons, a set of crockery/cutlery would have been handy.

The cleanliness and the location was just great. Beds were ok and the rooms were very small as the name of accommodation suggests. Can't complain about that.

We had not expected the noise level to be so loud from outside. Even earplugs at times would not help. There is no point in going to bed any time before midnight.

The location is very close to the main square and not too far from the train station. There was an electric heater and fan available if needed. The door locks had codes, no need for keys or cards, or even checking-in in person.

I repeatedly received instructions saying that I could store my luggage prior to check-in at a local coffee shop. The coffee shop has a new owner and is no longer allowing bags to be stored. This could cause problems, as the nearest luggage storage service is back at the train station about 10 blocks away. It was very loud outside at night, the location is very near a couple of bars that are popular with the young locals, who also hang out on the street. On the weekends, there is a metal gate blocking the street to keep people from peeing in the alley, etc. There is no way to open the gate, you have to walk around the block from the next street, it is a good thing that I had access to a map because there was no warning about this.

There was a horrible sewer smell.
