Tiny Private City Rooms Haarlem

Location was great, everything within walking distance of stores, restaurants and the supermarket.

The motion sensor in the bathroom kept turning off the light after a couple of seconds. It turned the light off when I was brushing my teeth or taking a shower. There’s also a sewer smell coming from the shower and the bathroom sink faucet was loose. There’s no AC so it can be quite warm in summer and the residents upstairs can be noisy when walking up to their room or just walking around their room.

Super location - very very close to the square. Lots of eating and shopping options just a short walk. Small apartment but as expected based upon the photos. Comfortable beds and a great coffee shop directly underneath the apartment. Good wifi. Host was very pleasant - we did not ask for any assistance as felt there was nothing that could have been done about the heat or the night noise.

Very hot temperatures and no air-conditioning, just a small fan that did not make much difference. Opened the windows at night as far as possible but pretty ineffective. Bar patrons climbed the scaffolding on the building opposite us in the early hours of the morning making lots of noise - was not aware of the bars or the building work being undertaken. No kettle, cups or glasses supplied meaning bottled water only.

You could only open a small part of the window so it was always hot and the bathroom didn’t have a window at all

Wonderful location right in the middle of Haarlem. Checking in and out was really easy and communication with owner was great. Room was clean and comfortable and had a good bathroom.

Loud bar nearby which is noisy until like 4:00 am but there’s not much you can do about that so it’s alright.

Location, but be aware its very close to some clubs/pubs

Right in the center. A lot of shops around. Was not bothered to much by noise during the night, kid was ok with that.

The lower bed is very cold. Necessary stuff for living not exists: microwave, kettle, table/chairs, fridge. No wardrobe. Where 4 guests will store their clothes and bags? The door lock code never changes! Not safe!

Good location, separated sleeping areas was nice.

Entrance to lane was blocked during weekend evenings which was annoying but we realize it is not under the control of the accommodation. Construction noise of opposite building was very loud. Property itself is very tiny, but was perfect for what we needed. A kettle or microwave would be a nice addition.

The location was good (about 10 minutes walk from the station) and the accommodation fit our group of 5 people well to the 30 square family room and we had quite private room in general. It also was good to have 3 mirrors in total so we didn't have to rely only on 1 mirror when we prepared ourselves in the morning. We didn't meet the staff but they sent us a good info packet how to find the place and how to enter the room etc.

There was barely air and the window could open just a bit and the noises echoed from outside especially during the night so earplugs recommended. We'd change the mattresses because some of them were really untidy (one mattress' mess could be seen directly from the lower bed) and all beds kept squeaking more or less whenever someone moved. There were some dirt spots on the walls so the mold was pretty nasty "surprise" because there were 3 allergic people and 1 pregnant travelling and most of us had our noses blocked or throats sore in the morning.
