It is very close to the beach and you can prepare coffee, they have free water and the people in my room were nice

For me it was too loud, right next to the road, early morning there is a lot of traffic. It is very hot in the room. Also there are tables right in front of the doorms where people hang out at night. I just prefer quiet places but if you want to be in the middle of everything and don't mind people talking and drinking at night this is a great place

There are no locks on the doors so anyone can walk in (this actually happened, a random person entered the dorm). I was also suspecting bedbugs.

They honored my request for a bottom bunks since I’m an old guy times at night. The price was great considering the high price of most other places on the island. Although I was surprised there was no hot water shower. The single temperature water was refreshing after a hot day on the beach. The fans in the room and the ability to open the windows with screen over them was a real plus in cooling the place off. Both jam and pen were very helpful at identifying a fast way for me to get to the Cambodia border from the island which I didn’t realize could’ve been done so it saved me two days from having to backtrack to Trat. The two nearby restaurants were really good. The one right next-door had a very reasonable breakfast and both were very fancy but good values and low cost.

There was only one resort nearby with a beautiful beach and comfortable chairs. A short distance away from the dorms. This would be a big problem if you rented a motorbike, but I’ve sworn those off at my age.
