I stayed at Star Hostel recently and had a wonderful experience. The location could not be better — just a 3‑minute walk from the central square, local restaurants, cafes, and even nightlife spots, right in the heart of Kutaisi’s old town . The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable — ideal for travelers who just need a tidy bed and a hot shower. The communal kitchen and living area are well-kept and useful if you like to cook or unwind indoors . Staff at reception were friendly, helpful, and genuinely interested in ensuring a pleasant stay — big thanks to Ana and the team for their hospitality and local tips . They also offer services like bike rental, tours, airport transfers, and even a free shot of chacha as a welcome gesture .

One small thing to note: The hostel has limited washrooms, so sometimes you might have to wait, especially in the mornings when everyone is getting ready. It’s not a big problem if you’re patient, but it’s something to keep in mind. However, the washrooms are kept clean, and hot water is always available, which is great. Overall, even with fewer washrooms, the hostel provides good value and a comfortable stay.

I really liked this place, for the price of a dorm room you can get a nice, private double room just some steps away from Kutaisi's center. They have 24 hour front desk.

Location - nice pillows and clean bedding.

No information given upon arrival - WiFi etc and room had a broken cupboard.

Everything was fine. It was a good hostel, but it’s a pity that someone stole my money
