T dorp ligt strategisch maar is heel saai

Riverstone Lodge was one of the best hostels I've stayed in. Clear communication from the host over whatsapp meant peace of mind in the run up to our stay. The beds were comfortable, showers and toilets clean, kitchen clean and well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, and cooking basics like salt and oil (as well as a 'help yourself' area with leftover pantry items from past hostel guests). It's in a great location near the Tongariro crossing as well as other walks. The host provides lots of information within the hostel for walk/outdoor options. There are also laundry options for a fee if needed, and an area to dry clothes outside (free) or a dryer (paid).

The room (ours was a shared dorm) could have a bit more storage for backpackers, but since we had a car we could store our bags there and just take the necessary in to the hostel.

My room was excellent, much appreciated. Well set up lodge, comfortable and well equipped kitchen, good facilities

Our stay was just a stop on our travels to Auckland it was perfect for what we needed.

Pokoje vypadají mnohem lépe, než na fotkách, pěkné, moderní a velmi udržované ubytování, majitelka byla velmi milá a je vidět, že se o prostor opravdu stará. Všude bylo čisto, velká kuchyň a terasa, čisté voňavé deky a povlečení. Jedno z mála ubytování, kde třídí odpad. Moc hezké.

Je slyšet hluk od dalších ubytovaných, ale to je tím, jak jsou domy na Novém Zélandu stavěné, je to běžná věc. Naštěstí všichni ubytovaní chodili hlavně na výlety, takže chodili brzo spát.
