Budapest Garden Hostel

It was Like a Family Hostel , from coming to the end , we have meet interesting people

This is just regular private house built in the garden at the end of the side street. Do not expect any banners, the only sign is street number "20" on the gate. The gate is opening by code, so if you arrive early you will wait in front until 3 pm when they will arrive. Inside there is huge guest kitchen with oven, fridges and basic cutlery, plates and pots.Wifi is OK!

The hostel is not easy to find. Once on Kelenfeld station use exit E to the ground level. Walk near bus park uphill. Pass modern, huge building on the upper level and when you pass it turn left to Balatoni Street. Cross this street on the second traffic light, walk straight 20 m further up and turn left into the little street paralel to Balatoni. Hostel is at the end of the street on the left.

Very friendly staffs, a very nice place to meet people from everywhere, also close to supermarkets shopping mall and bus train station.

A really peacefull area and a gorgeous property with a cute garden with fairy lights in the evening and an cosy outside sesting area

The location was good with Lidl and Aldi close by. Guests are allowed to cook meals in the kitchen which is quite large. Budapest Kelenfold train station close by to as is bus and metro. It was quite social with a lovely mix of nationalities and ages.

Only one shower with toilet and another toilet around the corner which was not enough for the amount of people there. The hostel is pretty dirty as well. Outside is very run down with empty beer bottles and cans just lying around. The bed sheets didn’t appear clean either!

Der Inhaber war total nett und bemüht und hat auch einmal für uns gekocht. Am ersten Abend hat er sogar auf uns gewartet, bis wir wieder sicher zu Hause waren.

Das Zimmer war ziemlich heruntergekommen, die Küche war groß, aber schlecht ausgestattet und man braucht Zeit, um in die Stadt zu kommen.
