Budapest Garden Hostel

My stay reminded me more of a stay with a large group of friends than of a stay in a hostel. The house and garden themselves have a very warm atmosphere to them. Immediately after I had arrived, I was shown around invited to come and spend the evening with the staff and some other guests, the next day the owner took the time to have nice chat with me. I felt very welcomed and homey while at the same time having interesting conversations. Leaving my luggage at the hostel after check-out was no problem at all. I regret so many reviews criticizing the cleanliness and the overall state of the house. The bedding was laundered, there was no smell whatsoever and bathroom and kitchen were neat. The house just tells a story about many people sharing one space.

At some point I would have been really glad about a kettle :D

Good value for the price, friendly staff. Good location to travel from.

The beds are not the greatest.

Despite arriving after midnight, the staff gave me clear instructions on how to enter the hostel. I really appreciate it.

Nothing….!!

Heating system was zero. Room was not properly set. There were no towels and orher stuff. Sheets were smelly. There were no any toiletries. So far from city.

The people who lived there were very nice and cheerful, they always had a smile on their faces, I actually liked that the company was like a small family and they happily welcome other people into this community☺️☺️
