Cute and homely hostel with big bathrooms and hooks to hang clothes/towel on. Nice staff and views.

Saw a cobweb at the top of the room ceiling, but looked relatively clean otherwise.

"Great Position"

Beautiful view from back yard and dining room. I could even watch the sunrise over the see from our bed in room one!

Tiny room and unsuited and noise from busy dining area in our room at night.

"A Good Space for a Short Stay"

The welcome at Dolphin was lovely; it is in a great location and the bed in my double room was very comfortable. Sadly it was blowing an absolute gale when I was there so I will have to come back to enjoy Kaikoura fully.

Sadly there are only 2 (unisex) toilets/showers for well over 20 people and the common spaces are also somewhat cramped.
