Colonial Surfing Villa Hostel & Home Stay

Lovely family and great location, couldn't have asked for anything better :)

Basic but absolutely fine for the price. Family were really nice and the breakfast also good.

Wi-Fi was not included. This was in the property details.. but it wasn’t clear.

good place to stay at. i kept extending my stay. the room is very simple but it’s clean and comfortable. obe of the coolest i jad so far in sri lanka. good value for the money. it’s an old colonial house with a lot of charme. the owners sre very kind and helpful. always smiling and friendly.

Room is really big and also the bed is big and comfy. Breakfast was nice, everyday something different and always ready when you come back from a morning session (or also before if you want). I also liked that you don't have to walk through the owners rooms like in a lot of other homestays. The rooms have their separate entrance.

There is no WIFI included in the price. You can pay extra to get it or you use your SIM card

Super relaxing with a very spacious room with my own bathroom. Had lot of privacy but also spent some time with the family. They are really nice, cute and helpful. The breakfast is also pretty good and a great option for after surfing. The place is walking distance to many surf spots and you can also ask the owner to take you to other more distant spots by tuk tuk.

The family taking care of the place is kind and helpfull. They, really make you feel welcome. There is toilet paper available and drinking water.

Spent a couple weeks here at colonial and safe to say they were some of the best weeks you can have. Reno and his family are just the best and everything you need help with he will be there. Access to beaches, breaks and midigama shops is all perfect so would recommend this stay to anyone!

It was walking distance to the beach and the property had a beautiful garden! The host were amazing and made us feel right at home. They helped us with every need we had! We really enjoyed our stay!!!
