SISHAUS - Private Room Rental

The owner of the property is very nice and helpful in person and the accommodation is located in the most perfect spot of Salzburg! Everything is in walkable distance, the view from our window was amazing! I enjoyed staying here despite the negatives list.

First of all, we received not up-to-date check in details (wifi password, city tax to be etc.) and we tried to call the owner, but the phone number was disconnected. After reaching out via Booking, the owner came to our help and settle the misunderstandings. Be aware, that there is no place to store your clothes while taking a shower. The overall cleanliness of the whole establishment was beyond average.

Loved the location, very central in the old city, 2 mins from the Opera and the Mirabell gardens. The room was small but adequate, renovated with cute colours and a direct view to Mozart Wohnhaus and the beautiful Trinity Church. No noise from the street, good temperature. Just fine for a night's stay.

The lock of the room's door was loose and should probably be repaired. The beds were squeaking with the slightest movement, but it did not annoy us to a level to disturb our rest. Shared wc and bath were very basic, but in good condition.

The location is a highlight, located down town it offers very easy access to attractions, restaurants, etc. The heater on triple bed room worked well too. The toilet and shower were okay and clean. Also the staff was friendly and welcoming.

The overall comfort was lacking, with uncomfortable mattress, pillows, light in the corridor and loud conversations that woke us up during the night. Also there was no WIFI.

- Encountering a broken window in the accommodation was quite unexpected, especially considering the amount we paid. Such issues are certainly not what one anticipates when making a reservation. - It was surprising that the Wi-Fi password was only provided on the second night of our two-night stay. I had assumed it would have been included in the initial instructions message from the owner. - While booking through booking.com, I organized my entire trip only to find out later from the owner that check-out service wasn't available on Saturdays. This unexpected information forced me to overhaul my travel plans - Accessing the property involves navigating through a considerable number of stairs. - Upon our arrival, both washing machines were occupied with towels, creating uncertainty about their cleanliness. I would expect that we get some instructions from the owner on handling the towels.
