Stunning location, exceptional breakfast and packed lunch. Excellent for a day on Snowdon.

Absolutely top class hostel. And the European style bunks which give you your own wee space are fantastic Cooked breakfast was great, and had one evening meal.

Positives - 1. The view that you get at the back of the lodge was amazing to see the mountains, lake and sheep’s in the morning. 2. Beds were comfortable where it adjusts softens your body laying down and didn’t have a bad sleep. 3. Bed accessories were nice to have such as having an outlet to charge, a nice nightlight to see at night in your bed-bunk and than curtains to have privacy. Then in case if you don’t have a towel or toothbrush or earplugs (in case someone snores) they provide that. 4. the staff are welcoming and friendly where they provide meals morning, afternoon and dinner. Their food is worth it because it is home made and worth the money where it’s not too expensive. 5. Interior layout - when walking in, there is a nice welcoming feel to relax and have fun at the same time as they have board games to play with and books to read or ideas for you to look into if you want to figure out your next adventure. They have a map of nearby towns, cities etc. that shows you famous/popular areas to see in those areas and recommendations on hiking as well. 6. Lockers - if you want to secure your personal items, they do provide locks for lockers to store. 7. The price of staying in the hotel was reasonable and not too expensive. For 5 nights, it was about $285. 8. You can re-fill on water and provide tea bags anytime of the day. 9. The distance on nearby towns are between 20 to 50 minutes. So not that bad of driving distance.

I would say for recommendations- Since it’s getting to the fall season and getting chilly, possibly look into selling small items like beanies or gloves to guests for those going on hikes.

Qu'est-ce que j'ai aimé... Tout. L'auberge est située en pleine montagne avec vue sur le lac, de quoi donner un premier aperçu des vacances qui vous attendent. L'auberge vous propose des itinéraires de randonnée, les plans des bus, les horaires de passage. Sonni est formidable, d'une gentillesse incroyable et d'une prévenance qu'on rencontre rarement. Concernant les repas proposés : plusieurs options pour tous les régimes. Le petit déjeuner est incroyable, le dîner encore plus! N'hésitez pas à réserver un repas le soir si vous randonnez.

Attention à la sortie du parking qui est en pente. Il y a un manque de visibilité (surtout quand on voyage à moto). Mais avec de la prudence, et surtout que la route n'est trop fréquentée, ça se fait bien.

Beautiful hostel! Sonni is so accommodating and helpful. The food is fantastic! And absolutely stunning views. We can't wait to come back. 😁
