Black Lava Hostel and Lodge

I liked the hot pool. That was my highlight along with the view from the room The staff were kind and helpul.

I had to cut short my trip there because of the flies which kept biting me. People say these flies are common to the area because of the farming. But they were a real pain. The room lighting was too bright and not so aesthetic. The interiors were very rudimentary. The food options had only fried items and were unhealthy.

Au calme car la route qui y mène est une impasse qui s'arrête à cet hôtel, donc pas de bruit de véhicule. Belle vue dégagée sur le lac et la montagne. 2 bassins ou petites piscines sont alimentés par une source chaude naturelle , c'est extra de pouvoir s'y détendre après une randonnée.

Good view, good pools, quiet

We really enjoyed being in the old wooden cottage on site; there are 4 other newer units. The 'original' wooden cottage faces the courtyard and ocean. It has a nice large washroom with excellent hot water, cold air conditioning and 2 really comfortable twin beds. The porch/balcony is lovely with two chairs and a table and the perfect place to have breakfast delivered! They also offer afternoon coffee or tea if you are around. The staff were excellent. They ensured we received the breakfast we ordered and they spent time cleaning up the outdoor courtyard. As with many places there are roosters so be aware though they weren't exceptionally noisy. There's also some road noise as the property is on the main road for Nusa Penida. Also of note the door to the bathroom was really squeaky so not ideal in the middle of the night but that's an observation not a complaint. Would definitely recommend plus you have the benefit of hearing the ocean waves while you sleep.

Le lieu est splendide, et les maisons sont très confortables ! La nourriture est excellente avec un très bon rapport qualité prix. Et les sources d’eaux chaudes sont un vrai bonheur.

Probably the best place I stayed in Bali. Would stay there again!
