Village House

Thank you so much for everything! We only stayed one night but everything was perfect. They pick u up for free and the family DINNER IS A MUST DOOO so yummy totally worth it. Amazing stay thank u

It's a good place. 1) Great area for breakfast & dinner with relaxing beautiful river view. 2) Beds are comfy and have curtains (not all of them have all the length curtains), very good for your rest and privacy. 3) They clean the room and the bathroom everyday, they change beddings after people who leave. 4) It's a very quiet place far from parties. 5) They are very warm-hearted and nice people. So kind and generous to their guests despite they work very hard to manage the hostel. They try to provide everything you need to feel comfortable: hot water, tea, candies and snacks. Once I've seen them letting a guy to stay one night in hammok for free when he couldn't extend his stay due to the fact they were fully booked that day. For me, they made a discount = commission fee when I came later without booking in advance.

I have an ambitious opinion. 1) My 1 day stay 31jan-1feb was fine. I had 8 more nights 8-16feb booked in this property later and after my test stay was sure to come again for Tet. But. My second and third nights 9-11 were cancelled on 6th. On 9th they added that 11-13 are also cancelled. It's very unpleasant because during Tet new year it's hard to find another place at the last moment and it's much more expensive (so I booked very in advance not to over pay). It's not very thoughtful. And it's not fair: I give my credit card to guarantee my booking and my arrival. Because of that it's 6/10 instead of 9/10. Upd: eventually I came and stayed 3 nights more later and decided to change my reference and my rate, considering the fact they could really decide to rest and to close the hostel. 2) Breakfast (pancakes and eggs) is too oily. Without that much oil breakfast would be totally great. 3) Not good smell sometimes in the bath of the dorm. I think there's a toilet isolation leakage (a little bit) or some mold. 4) I've found some short hair on my pillow and they changed all beddings without any problem and apologized. Maybe someone changed his bed and didn't inform them cause other beds looked very clean. Upd: I've seen people doing that and not informing the owner about it. 5) Pretty far from the center like 20 mins walk but for me it's fine totally.

This is unbelievable value. Our room was one of the best we’ve had on the trip so far and for this price and breakfast included it was very impressive. The staff were lovely and helpful, really nice vibe being within the family home and kids running around. We had the family dinner one evening which was delicious and a fantastic spread. Definitely recommend. Free pedal bikes also a nice touch.

the scooters albeit we’re cheap, we’re really poor condition. We have driven lots of sketchy scooters over our trip but these were next level and going/coming back to one of the caves one of us had to get off and walk otherwise it wouldn’t make it up the hill haha! Not a huge issue reslly as everything else was so amazing it made up for it!

Excellent homestay. Clean rooms and friendly family. Delicious breakfast and option to have evening meal which was also great. Host picked us up from bus very early in the morning and also allowed us to check in early at very small fee. Good value for money.

Bicycles were available free of charge but were quite old. We also had an issue with a rented motorbike breaking down but host was very helpful and quick in coming to help us.

Nothing!

I loved staying in this home. What a pleasure to stay with such a warm family. They were shay's ready to help and kind. Answered all questions, let us watch films in the lounge and sit with them. The beds are huge. Like a small double with lots of head room to sit and chill. The room was very comfy. Facilities good. They let us use the heating in the cold! The out door area is beautiful. Such a great view and they have SUP boards!. The motor bike was cheap and in good condition. Free bicycles which was great, we used them to get to town centre in the day and night. Breakfast was lovely, I enjoyed the food they made us.

Family dinner wasn't with the family

The homestay is located directly at the river in an more peaceful area and has an amazing view towards the mountains. The breakfast was always tasty and the staff was very helpful and always very nice to us. The rooms were very clean and spacious as well.

Lovely family owned hostel. They picked me up at the bus station at 4am. and checked me in early, and they helped with my tour and bus bookings. They were always friendly and helpful. Would stay there again. Thanks :)

The Family in the Hostel was super friendly, service was perfect and the man who picked us up/ dropped us off at the bus and managed our booking was one of the frendliest we met as well. Super affordable, the breakfast was great and the area outside made it to one of the best stays we had so far.
