Village House

Great little stay, right next to the river, breakfast is literally on the side of the river looking out across the mountainside. Fantastic family very helpful and always happy and friendly. Room was great free breakfast was good to get you going for the day too. Would stay again.

The host was fantastic, such a nice guy and very understanding of our needs. It was very good value for money - we got a private room for two people

We saw a massive big spider in the hallway but that’s normal for the region and he let us move to another room because of that! Very nice of him

The room was big, beds were comfortable, the hostel was nice and clean and very generous on space. I liked the large bathroom size too. Not busy with guests because the hostel is spread out across a few properties. Location idyllic on the river, watched water buffalo whilst eating dinner, it really is proper countryside vibes.

The location was out of the way and no transport links (no bus, no Grab), one place to eat across the way so not a lot of food options. The WiFi wasn't the best. The second bed was a bunk bed, not a normal single bed.

The host picked us up early in the morning from the bus station and dropped us back when we checked out, free of charge. Rooms are spacious and clean. Location is good but easier to have a bike to get around. Shower is good.

They ran out of motorbikes so he gave us a borrowed one from a friend which broke down however the host was quick to send someone to pick us up. Towels were not replaced everyday and bottles of water are available but you have to pay for them. AC was weak but there is a fan facing the bed which helps. Not enough breakfast options but the pancakes are good.

The family was so genuinely nice at this homestay. They picked us up at the bus station and gave us information on what to do in the area. You can rent scooters from them and use the bicycles to get into town. It's also very peaceful having the outdoor area right in front of the river to swim and enjoy sunset.

The room was lacking natural light but we went during the hot season so we spent a fair amount of time in the room with AC. But for the price, it is great.
