Trang An Freedom Hood

We liked the location, which worked well for us. Several restaurants were within walking distance and the Trang An boat tour was only about 1 km away, making it easy to explore the area.

We couldn’t quite understand many of the very positive reviews. The person at the reception didn’t seem particularly welcoming or motivated. Breakfast was included in the price and was acceptable, but nothing special. We stayed for two nights in a private double room with a “river view”, although the view was mostly of the path, with the river and the road beyond. The room itself was a reasonable size, but it wasn’t particularly clean. For example, we found a razor cap next to the sink when we arrived. The towels and bed linen also seemed like they could have received a bit more attention during washing. The biggest downside for us was the bathroom layout. The private bathroom is only separated from the bedroom by a curtain and a glass door. Although the toilet is tucked around the corner, there is still very little privacy. You can easily see the other person, and from certain angles people outside can also see into the bathroom. We found this quite uncomfortable and it took away from the overall experience. Of course, this is a matter of personal preference, but we would have appreciated this being shown more clearly in the photos before booking. During our two-night stay, the ashtray on the table by the river was never emptied, which unfortunately added to the impression that cleanliness and maintenance weren’t given much attention. The scooters available for rent are quite old, as are the helmets. This wasn’t our first homestay, and we’ve generally felt much more welcome and comfortable at other places. Overall, it was okay for the price, but we wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

Sehr liebevolle und gemütliche Unterkunft mit einer wunderschönen Lage und Außenbereich! Man hat sich sehr wohl dort gefühlt, ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen.

Location scenografica, in mezzo alla natura. Forniscono l’asciugamano. Abbiamo affittato il motorino, che è molto comodo considerata la posizione. Colazione abbondante.

Il bagno era fuori dalla camera, ad un piano inferiore. L’acqua della piscina era un po’ torbida ma comunque accettabile.

Perfectly located with amazing views. The hostel is very well equipped and the food was next level!
