"Good place for pilgrims on the Camino"

6.0

The building looks a bit dingy from the outside, but inside it feels like a 70s apartment — dark wooden furniture, heavy pieces, solid floors. Check-in was a bit tricky at first. The phone number didn’t work right away, but pressing the bell helped. After about five minutes someone came and let us in. The lady was friendly, though she didn’t speak English. Still, we managed to sort everything out. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. You can do laundry (follow the instructions on the machine), and there’s plenty of space to dry your clothes — washing lines and clothespins are provided. That’s a big plus for pilgrims. There’s instant coffee, ColaCao, tea, and even milk you can use. There’s no electric kettle, but you can heat water on the gas stove. We stayed in the private room (No. 2) on the first floor. It was large, with a big bathroom. There aren’t many sockets, but enough to charge your devices. On the same floor there are three dorms with a total of 14 single beds sharing one bathroom. When we stayed, there were seven other guests, so sharing was fine. Across the street is Cortes Restaurant with good food, open from 7 a.m. — perfect for lunch, dinner or even a quick breakfast before walking. Supermarkets are nearby, about 5–10 minutes on foot. We’d stay here again rather than in the private-run albergue about 10 minutes walk away.

Nothing to complain about. It’s a simple pilgrim hostel anyway :)
