Having some instant oatmeal.

The beds and pillows were clean and comfy. There was good space in the room especially to unload and reload our backpacks.

It has laundry facilities, staff is kind and accommodating.

Nothing.

When I think of a hostel, I don't expect much. With that in mind, this surprised me: a washer and laundry powder to use, plenty of laundry lines under a roof to hang clothes to dry, a common space to chat and play card games, a kitchen to use to cook meals, or just use the microwave and refrigerator. The town had plenty of restaurants/bars (but don't look for any open in the morning for a fresh coffee). Each dorm room had its own bathroom with shower, so one could know when it was free. I had the impression that the hostess tried to put similar people (age, countries/languages) in a room.

Whenever possible, I book a single room to get as much rest as possible, but if it's necessary to have a dorm sleeping area, this at least restricted the size to 6 single beds (no bunk beds). I would have preferred to have an all-female room, but that seems rare in Europe. Although it was at least 17 C degrees outside during the day, Room 5 seemed cold. I didn't see extra blankets.

Het was4 er koud. Er waren langdurige bewoners, die weinig rekening hielden met pelgrims. Ik waa om 05.45 wakker hun geluiden en het licht.
