Karma Hostel

The host is so incredibly generous!!! He will do anything for his guests and wants you to feel like family! Had such great recommendations of where to go, things to do, and food to eat! Cant wait to come back!

Raj is an exceptional host. He will make sure your stay in Khajuraho is the best it can be. He actively looks out for you, suggests you places to eat, visit, offers to buy entry tickets for you so you skip the hassle, but he also responds to anything else you might need. We also did the safari with him. I still think the price is a bit steep but overall it was an experience worth doing, he manages everything for you and it is great to have him join the safari as he can explain a lot about the nature (the guide did not speak much English). The room is modest but has everything you'll need. Shower gel is not included so make sure to bring your own. Completely okay considering the price. When you come, I recommend seeing the western temples (600 inr entry for foreigners, still very much worth it) and then also the eastern temples (free, in worse shape, scattered in a housing area). People living near the eastern temples are eager to know you, so make sure you say hi!

You will be staying in a rural part of India, so get prepared to have an occasional bug in the room (not harmful) and a lot of noise coming from the outside, even during night. Not a problem for us, but I believe it is not for everybody.

I had a great stay at Karma home stay! The room was as on the fotos, very spacious, very clean, shower with always working hot water and good water pressure. And no need to ask for towels or toilet paper, Raj, the host gave me everything upon arrival. He was the best part of my stay. A very kind and caring person. He takes great care of his guests, we had great conversations, he gives helpful tips and organized amazing trips for me: Visiting a waterfall and river with crocodiles while exploring the beautiful calm countryside around Khajurahu, getting the ticket to visit the stunning temples and my highlight, a tiger safari to Panna national park (for a fair price). He made sure I’ll get the best gate and it was super worth it, I got to see a mother tiger and its three children. Also you’ll get delicious food from Raj Family, I eat vegan and they took care of my dietary needs with no problem.

I can’t think of anything negativ, 1000% recommended!
