Alpine Lodge Queenstown

Die lange war top.

Ich bin insgesamt sehr enttäuscht von meinem Aufenthalt in diesem Hostel. Besonders negativ ist mir das Personal aufgefallen: Während ein Mitarbeiter wirklich freundlich und bemüht war, war ein anderer extrem unhöflich, respektlos und offensichtlich völlig fehl am Platz im Umgang mit Gästen. Sein Verhalten wirkte genervt und herablassend, was den Aufenthalt unnötig unangenehm gemacht hat. So ein Auftreten ist absolut inakzeptabel. Die Dusche war schlichtweg eine Katastrophe. Der Wasserstrahl war so schwach, dass man kaum von einer funktionierenden Dusche sprechen kann – eher ein lächerliches Rinnsal. Es hat ewig gedauert, sich überhaupt halbwegs abzuspülen. Für eine grundlegende Ausstattung wie eine Dusche ist das absolut unzumutbar und sollte in dieser Form nicht vorkommen.

We had a double room and found our stay just perfect. Central location, good size room with space for 2 x big bags. Handing space in our room was a bonus. Loved the heater, the bed was comfortable and 2 x pillows really appreciated. Loved that there was multiple bathrooms and toilets to use. Super good internet too. We previously stayed in a more central bunk dorm bed arrangement for not much less money and this place rates much higher and had more space and comfort. Look, it’s not a polished accomodation but the vibes were great, staff super helpful and the fellow lodgers were great! Would stay again. No issues!

For the price and location I don’t think you can beat it.

Really really friendly staff, the location is great! I could sleep very well in the bed. Kitchen was great to use.

Parking was hard to get and facilities like shampoo or shower gel were not provided :(

Queenstown is very popular and this was a late booking with limited choice. I would not chose to go back to Alpine Lodge again.

Alpine Lodge has a very small kitchen, limited communal space and is next to a busy road and in need of a makeover.

Nice small hostel, comfortable beds, good shower, well equipped kitchen. TV with netflix

Location was perfect, super close to cbd. Beds were comfy warm and clean.
