Guest House tokonoma

The host was super nice and knowledgeable. Introduced the area well, including the great day public bath and local restaurants. The house was super well updated and maintained. The weather and temperature was great when I was there and I could sleep very well after biking around the island. It was very close to the local beach and shrine. The kitchen had everything needed.

Guest house tokonoma on yugeshima and the 3 islands its connected was by far the highlight of our holiday. Forget about the shimanami kaido. Go to yugeshima, ride the loop there and do the yumeshima kaido and disappear into a real life ghibli movie. These 4 connected islands are absolutely stunning and so serene and quiet they dont even have traffic lights. The people are so kind, the views are breathtaking, and you are virtually the only tourist! This is a very rare experience. Yasu san is a great host, he helped us get the most out of the short time we had on the islands and he’s just overall a very nice person. The guests were great to, good vibes all around.

Owner's English is very good. This island is quite peaceful. I enjoy the time to stay here. I don't know how many rooms it has. But only me in the house at that day. Everything is good. I enjoy the peaceful time.

The guest house is a beautiful traditional old Japanese house, room was nice with tatami, foutons, we stayed in a room for three people, which was spacious and clean. For the price it is a very good value and the host was nice and always replied. The toilet was on the same floor, but the shower was common with other people which was fine. Also possible to do laundry for a small charge. And on the first floor there is a common kitchen with free coffee.

Maybe you can hear everything what happens in the house, walls were not so thick. There were no towels provided, but we could rent them for a small extra charge.

Beautiful spacious house in village but peaceful. Helpful host. Great kitchen facilities and oil and condiments provided were considerate touch.

Great stop for Shimanami Kaido if you go a bit off the standard route on Yuge Island. Kind owner, speaks very well English and room is good.

Futon could be a bit more comfy.

Everything. If you are planning on cycling the Shimanami Kaido (and even if you aren’t!) I’d highly recommend taking a detour from the main route and spending some time here.
