Berggasthaus First - Only Accessible by Cable Car

The exclusive location on First. Able to take nice photo when the crowd left. Staff are great, friendly and all out to help.

Bit inconvenient for elder and young kids as the bathroom is outside the room. Anyway, good experience.

The only option

The room was beautiful, with huge windows and a magnificient view. Although it's a dorm, it was one of the best places we stayed in Switzerland. Dinner was a set three-course meal, with ability to make it (at least) vegetarian, and all of the dishes were good! Breakfast was also nice. We were able to store our bags downstairs in the locker area and do a day-hike to Bachalpsee and Faulhorn (leaving early to avoid the crowds). By staying here, I was also able to hike to Bachalpsee at sunset time, when no other tourists were there. It was quiet and so beautiful how the mountains were reflected in the waters at that time. Just be careful because there are frogs on the trail, since the area is moor lands, and there is a danger of stepping on them, especially when it gets dark :)

I thought the hotel was fairly good. The bedding was clean and rooms were nice.

There were lots of flies at this hotel. Unfortunately, I had a tummy upset from the dinner that I ate also this morning I had a croissant that was rock hard. I noticed another couple trying to swap them last night as well at the restaurant. My advice would be to stay at the hotel but maybe take your own food. I really did have such a terrible stomach. i’m not sure that the food was piping hot and heat was reheated I think.

Wir waren im Massenlager, dieses war sehr Angenehm und geräumig. Das Frühstück lies keine Wünsche offen.

Diese Frage erübrigt sich. Es gab keine negativ Punkte.
