K's House Hokkaido - Asahidake Onsen Hostel

This place has no business having 1 star. its great, the location is amazing, the staff was very flexible with my late check in and late check out, the common areas are 10/10, extremely good, and its very cheap. Its the best price for budget travel in the area/for a quick overnight stay. Its way way better than I expected it to be. Whoever is responsible for arranging common areas there deserves a special thanks.

My room had a very unpleasant odor, not sure why, I absolutely loved everything else about the place but taking 1 star off for this yeah. also they charge u in cash like 500 yen or something? I forgot, its something small but idk they shouldnt be charging anything on top of booking price. The place is still ridiculously cheap for what it offers though.

Close to cable car up mountain , clean comfortable , great kitchen, onsen was lovely , we had an amazing time here , sun on the the fumeroles then spent all afternoon skiing down the nearly empty tree lined runs

we loved the kitchen and how it was stocked with spices and oils to cook with.

Hotel staff were very helpful after we had a problem with a booking made through a third party. Facilities were awesome, very clean!

I loved the location and the onsen. It felt like a hostel for experienced athletic people.

The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Met several fellow travelers. Very clean and efficiently run. Would absolutely return in the future!

Very good value for money. Room was big for Japanese standards. Kitchen is well equipped. Skis and boot storage are well organized and logically placed. I liked the onsen and the lobby and also spend some time on the massage chair.

Breakfast provided is a little small (make sure you bring some extra stuff). Kitchen and lobby got quite crowded in the morning and evening. It is not very close to the gondola (15 min or so on your skins when touring). But these are small details, overall I really enjoyed my stay.
