Stay In Tekapo Backpackers

Location close to the lakefront and my room was clean

There are only 4 bathrooms with shower and toilet in each. If all are occupied with people taking a shower, you cannot even use the toilet and this is a major inconvenience. The kitchen is a bit small (only one sink and one stove), not ideal for a communal kitchen. Reception hours are too short, I needed to borrow a hair dryer but it was already closed and I had to do so the next day. In the dorm, the dormer window did not have a shutter, so the room was very bright since 5 in the morning in summer. I had to use a sleeping mask. Mattresses not very comfortable.

買い物と湖に近くて便利です。

分かりにくい建物で、見つかる時間がかかってしまった。

Proximity to Lake Tekapo

Room was quite untidy with fans and heaters left at random around the room with their chords across the floor. Room had been freshly painted and smelled very strongly of paint. No towels, bedside lights. Tried two of the showers, one had no water pressure and the other was not held in place properly. Overall the property could be improved with some easy fixes.
