Hostal Españolete

We loved our stay at Hostal Españolete. The staff were lovely and kind people and helped us to organise tours, plan our trip and accommodated us in doing clothes washing etc. Thank you for making us feel very welcome in Santa Marta :)

Friendly staff, value for money, location

They charged to keep bags for a few days, no soap in the shared bathrooms to wash hands at least

The host was very kind and helpful. Location is good, within walking distance to restaurants and waterfront. The room we stayed in was quite small but ok for us.

The bathroom wasn’t spotless but alright.

Had to make a last minute reservation as another one at another hoste didn't go through and we couldn't have been happier. All of them were very welcoming and helpful! They helped us with tips around Santa Marta, organising a motorbike to go to Minca and were very helpful with planning day trips and onward travel. Also the kitchen was well equipped.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. They have an Xbox which was amazing too

Guests regularly didn't clean up after themselves in kitchen. But that's not the hostels fault

The proprietor, Daniel, was super helpful and provided great tips on where to find things and how to get around. The hostel is in a great location at the edge of the busy central area.
