Puertas al Cabo

We had such a wonderful stay at Posada Puertas Al Cabo. The place feels very home-like and is run by a truly kind and welcoming family who made us feel comfortable from the first moment. Every evening the owners lit the fireplace, which created a warm and cozy atmosphere that made us feel right at home after a day of exploring. The food was excellent – fresh, tasty, and prepared with great care. The fish, in particular, was absolutely delicious and a highlight of our meals. You can really feel that everything here is made with love and attention. We highly recommend staying here – it was a memorable experience, and we would be happy to return anytime.

Ridiculously small, anyone over 1.70meters tall will be banging their head against the ceiling or door frames Bathroom is separate from the room and its incredibly crammed. Totally unusable for a shower. No towels either No plugs or anything to even charge your phone This is just a low budget hostel turned into a "hotel" when demand is low

This was a very different experience of a hotel stay , back to the 1950 s but it was great fun . The bed was very comfortable . The toilet you pulled an old fashioned chain to flush . . Cabo Polonio is a beautiful area with long gorgeous beaches , sea lion sanctuary , and lots of arte stalls .. its got a great laid back vibe . The hotel is basic with no electrical sockets in your room but the hotel staff allow you to charge your phone in the bar area , sun permitting.. the staff are very kind. We had dinner 2 nights in the hotel and the quality of food and service was excellent . The garden is lovely to relax and there is wifi ...the stars and sunsets are amazing ...i would definitely visit . Has to be on your list if touring Uruguay .

The noise of doors banging and walls are so thin i thought next door people were in my room. Haha. I havent experienced a place so antiquated but im old so i had to enjoy it ...overall fun , away from my usual 5 star living . I think this hotel is brilliant for young back packer people. I wish the owners must success .
