PROMAX villa

Nice private room, quiet location on large road, but away from city center noise. Being in Nuwara Eliya was a welcome break from heat! Comfortable bed, room had a small table with two chairs and a sofa bed. Nice that the wall socket had two USB ports. Large spacious bathroom with great hot water. Nice western breakfast of fruit, omelette and toast. We hiked to Single Tree Hill and to Lover’s Leap Waterfall from the house. Haran the host spoke excellent English and his multicultural background enables him to be super welcoming. When he offered to cook dinner for us, I asked to watch his preparations and spent a delightful two hours learning about making curries, as well as learning more about the culture. Dinner was an excellent value as the portions were generous and food was freshly prepared.

Lovely little stay out of the centre so nice and quiet. House was nice and clean, host was really nice and nice sitting room area. Breakfast was great too.

Personal preference would have been privacy curtains on the dorm bed and just needed to keep topped up with toilet paper, but still enjoyed my stay and have recommend to others!

The rooms are big n comfy but when i checked in there was literally nothing in room like no towels which when I asked the host gave,but no toiletries like not even hand wash which is a very basic amenity. It is good enough for one day but keep a hand wash n towel ready atleast before guest checkin.The location is a 10 as it is walkable from nuwera eliya bustop n pick me app also works.You can easily take a bus to Pedro.

You'll not feel hostel vibes here but the area is quiet n close to shops n local restaurants. There was no power also when I reached after my tiring journey n so had to wait to take a shower but there is hot water available which was great. The host did try to help but felt little out of place like the oven was not clean n didn't know where the other stuff are. I was too tired to even Google restaurant nearby n asked for suggestions for local food but it seems the host isn't well aware of the area as he said I have to go to the town for that.Later on 10 min walk I found good local restaurants n basically figured everything out on my own.
