Hostel Casal São João

Tout : la chambre avec les housses de couette colorées, la propreté, l’emplacement, bien perché en haut de la colline, mais proche d’un très bon restaurant. C'est surtout la gentillesse de Maria et de son fils que je retiendrais. Les deux sont adorables, prêts à renseigner et à aider avec le sourire.

This is one of the worst hostels I've ever stayed in, for 35 euros a day you have to wait half an hour for hot water to come on, you have to look at the cockroach terrarium in the kitchen, the room seems completely empty with a bed and one chair and a thin blanket (there is no insulation in the yard at +11) (like a solitary confinement cell for solitary prisoners) it feels like I've fallen into Stanley Kubrick's movie The Shining. I don't recommend it to anyone, the only plus is the old cheerful cheerful woman.

Nice place, very quiet at night. Near to the city, and is good for hiking. Helder is a nice man, and can help with anything. Toilets and showers are nice and clean, and the kitchen is good as well. Beautiful views from the hostel.

Die ruhe und das personl

Ich habe gebucht ein zimer für mich.war ein zweier zimer bet. Das zwei beten waren ist nicht das problim.sonder.das al zwei oder drei tage noch eine person in mein zimer sclafte. Jch habe ein einzelzimer gebucht und nich mit eine andre person.und der zimer wach nuch3m auf 4m also 12 quadrat meter und keine grose ablage für kafer nuch zwei stüls.das ist nich das was ich gebucht han.leute pasend auf wen iech das buchen.dancke

Logement assez modeste, tant au niveau des équipements que du confort, mais avec un très bon rapport qualité-prix pour Madère. Helder et sa famille sont très gentils et font de leur mieux pour entretenir le logement. La voisine est également adorable, ce qui rend le séjour encore plus agréable. J’avais quelques appréhensions en arrivant après avoir lu certains avis, mais elles se sont révélées infondées : aucune punaise de lit et pas de problème de moisissure comme cela pouvait être mentionné.

Point négatif : les murs sont très fins, on entend facilement ce qu’il se passe, et il faut faire attention au bruit (parler trop fort, etc.).

Die Terrasse hat eine wundervollen Ausblick. Das Personal ist sehr nett.

Es ist leider schmutzig! Die Ausstattung ist sehr alt und muß erneuert werden. Die Matratze im „Studio“ ist total durchgelegen. Ich hatte Rückenschmerzen. Die Busverbindung ist sehr schlecht. Samstags fährt kein Bus. Werktags auch nur 2x vormittags in die Stadt Ribeira Brava und nachmittags nur 1x um 19 Uhr. Ohne Auto ist man hier aufgeschmissen. Es war sehr sehr kalt, ohne Heizung.
