"Cold and not very welcoming"

What breakfast? The staff were not welcoming grumbled about having to come back to the hostel when I arrived hostel very cold and makes it feel inhospitable Z also no drink in room rule is just silly having a hot cup of tea in bed when the hostel is. Old at least cheers the traveller up a bit

"Excellent budget stay for walking the Coast to Coast path"

Stunning building in an ideal location for walking the Coast to Coast Path.. Owner, Denise, was very friendly and had a very friendly pair of small dogs too. An excellent stay on a budget.

Being a large building a tad cold at this time of year but there were plenty of blankets around to snuggle in to.
