A real oasis in La Punta. Only 10 minutes from the main street full of restaurants, bars, surf shops etc., the bungalows are really quiet and serene in the middle of a jungle. Puerto Escondido is hot, but the fans in the room are sufficient. There are moscito nets on the windows. The shower is really good (nobody minds that it is "cold", you look forward to it on the hot days!) and the room was super clean every day. For us, the best parts were: - the hammock on our terrace where we spent hours reading - the rooftop terrace to do yoga with a view of the sea (no lessons though) - the two adorable cats, they love visiting the guests and cuddling on the bed - the beach is 2 minutes down the street from the hostel and feels almost private! Since the "main" beaches of La Punta and Zicatela are further away, there are not a lot of people in this part of the strip. It was so relaxing! It is not a social hostel - if you are looking for a party scene or socializing with other guests One Love is not the right fit. One Love is a place to wind down, get away from busy life to sway in hammocks and see the beautiful sunset. Nico is a great host with a lot of good recommendations for restaurants and activities. Jessica the cleaning lady is amazing. Thank you - we were so sad to leave and can't wait to come back 🫶

We loved our stay at One Love. It’s a peaceful oasis with space to relax and unwind in a mini jungle. It feels safe, secure and quiet. The rooms are cleaned daily and the beds are comfy. The fans are enough to keep you cool and although I was slightly apprehensive about the cold showers, the water pressure is great and honestly it’s so hot that they are so refreshing. Location is great and the owner was full of recommendations.

We stayed in a bungalow in the very nice garden! It’s calm, we barely saw the other guests. They have two cats, one of them sneaked in to our room several times and made herself comfortable in the bed. It was clean and felt very safe! There was a refrigerator in the room which we really appreciated. It’s located very close to the beach. The only downside was that the wifi barely worked for our three day stay. The Hostel is in La Punta which is a very touristic area with a lot of western food and some fancy shops. The town of Puerto Escondido is about one hour away if you walk along the beach.

Very friendly host Nico who replies to texts kindly and promptly. Solid security gate that leads to nice garden, good community deck with ocean views and cute palapa roofed accommodations. The place has a good vibe. Easy one block walk to beach. Also within walking distance to restaurants, bars and shops of Punta Zicatella but being several blocks away it is not in the heart of the noise.

Did not dislike anything, good experience for me, very good for money, but go with proper expectations. No air-conditioning, no heat, no swimming pool, no hot water, little insulation, no parking, no coffee, no TV. All that was fine for me as it was clean, cute, reasonably priced, felt safe and friendly. Liked it well enough that I've gone back 3 or 4 times.

The location was ideal! The terrace is a great place to chill on the hammocks and watch the sunset. The rooms were cleaned every day to a high standard. Nico is a great host and is helpful and always available for any questions.

The only thing which I have to say was the WiFi and phone signal was poor in my room (Lennon) ....not sure if that's the case in other rooms but it was a bit of a pain.
