Belizean Shores Resort

I loved everything about the property, it was the perfect location. Close to secret beach and and close to downtown San Pedro. The staff were so helpful and nice. There was security nightly which felt good as well

The only thing that I did not like was that the pool and jacuzzi closed at 9pm. When on vacation I fee that it should be up to us when to get out. The mosquito’s be out yes but me and my friends learned to use the green bottle of bug spray and just spray down when going out and if at the pool in the evening or night keep it by to use and we were fine. They seemed to hang out mostly under the kart parking area the most idk If it was because of the trees or what. Lemon eucalyptus and the green bug spray was a life saver!

No restaurant on site but we knew that going in. Their sister resort Coco Beach delivered once to our room for breakfast and once to us in the pool for lunch. It was decent food. Not terribly hot when it arrived but ok. The rooms were overly generous with size. We never needed out second story being only two of us. The staff were all amazing! The concierge Carmen and William were super helpful. Sereny ( I think that was the name) at the front desk was VERY pleasant and helpful with everything we asked for. She gave us great suggestions for dinner as well. The security guard was always looking out. He was so friendly and helpful. Freddie the bartender was ok. He needed to stay off his phone and pay attention and interact with to guests more. Tua at the pool bar was the best. We enjoyed his playful personality and how fun he was. The housekeepers did a great job. We never saw them but we were kept clean. They do an every two day cleaning. Anything in between you need is easy enough to get. It was great having Tuff Enough tours right on our dock. It made excursions super easy. They have a variety of things to choose from. We found out during one of our excursions you can essentially mix and match to make up whatever excursions you would like and they accommodate you. We loved having the 5gal water dispenser in the room. That was incredibly appreciative with how hot and humid it was there all week.

We didn’t care for aweful furnishings in the rooms. They need updated. It’s more like outdoor furniture. It’s uncomfortable, worn, musty/sour smelling. I didn’t care for them literally counting out the coffee filters so we were allowed one per day. We ran out of them. They said ask for more but that is just a hassle. I used a paper towel as a filter instead. We didn’t like you had to rent the bicycles. I feel for the price you should be allowed to borrow them.

Fantastic all around. Caren at concierge was phenomenal. Property was pristine, pool was fabulous. Best place to stay in ambergris caye hands down.

Beautiful place to stay. Pool and hot tub were great. Having golf cart rentals on-site that they clean and service/fill up every day was great. Also having tours/excursions on site was great.

Only complaint water didn't get hot in the shower but not at all a deal breaker.

Location, cleanliness, pool, quiet

The place was roomy and very clean. Staff and service were amazing! Location on the island is great. Will be back if we are back in San Pedro.

More coffee should be provided for the rooms. More economical golf carts offered. The rates were much cheaper elsewhere but these same rates should have been offered at the hotel. Breakfast was at the Cocoa Resort next door. The breakfast was great but for the price of the accommodations it should have included breakfast. As we are from Canada the cost affected us as it was all in US dollars.
