"Cala Luna was great!"

We had a great stay at Cala Luna. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable and had great amenities...including sunscreen and bug repellent! The drinks at the restaurant were tasty and the breakfast delicious with a great spread of options. Love that we had access to the beach too! The grounds were lush, clean and we may or may not have seen a skunk LOL

The only thing we didn't love was how much we could hear our neighbors. Thankfully we only had neighbors for part of our stay but when they were there, we could hear their conversations and any tv/music they were playing...assuming they could hear us as well.

"Magical oasis in Tamarindo."

The grounds of Cala Luna were absolutely gorgeous filled with wildlife. We loved the pool and were blown away by the restaurant. Very lovely place!

The bathtub and shower appeared to be a dream but once we attempted to take a bath it was filled with chunks of hair and mildew. The breakfast was a bit lack luster for the price of our stay (however the offerings from the grill were amazing) and the coffee could have been better. Also, what happened to the free cocktails on the beach?
