Macdonald Lochanhully Resort

Beautiful woodland setting, with peace & tranquility. Special mention & true highlight of our visit must be made for "Ritchie", the resident long-haired pussycat who gave us the most friendly welcome on arrival and visited us regularly for chats and cuddles throughout our stay.

The Lodges are more than a little tired, both internally & externally and could benefit from some investment to bring them more up-to-date and provide some creature comforts, such as scatter cushions, artwork, low-level lighting, etc., just to help make them feel a little more furnished and less spartan. We were also disappointed that the on-site restaurant & bar were closed throughout the duration of our visit. We had also requested an earlier check-in time, but Staff were unable to accommodate this request. NB: we do feel that 5pm is particularly late for check-in, compared to other providers in the marketplace.

Great place for children to run and play, lovely forest environment, lots of activities for all to enjoy. We enjoyed the sunny dining area. Very handy to Cairngorm walks.

A little cramped for 3 adults and two children- kidhen/ living area becomes unusable when the couch becomes a bed (for 2!) at night!

A very good reception of a good welcome of quacking ducks and a wonderful resident cat

Not much room in the double room

Fantastic scenery and Wildlife, easy to find cabin and comfortably to live in.

Cabins can look into each other from windows and doors and feel cabins are abit too close to each other. Also no contact with reception or reservation team on a Sunday.

The apartment was spotless and beautiful

The outside of the property doesn't do the inside justice it was quiet tired looking and outdoor seating would have been perfect

Wir hatten ein Häuschen für uns mit 2 Etagen. Geräumig mit allen Möbeln und Geräten, die jeglichen Komfort boten. Das Dorf kann zu Fuß erreicht werden, der nächstgrößere Ort sehr schnell mit dem Auto. Wir haben ausgiebige Wanderungen unternommen und sind sehr zufrieden.

Mit dem Herd (Ofen) sind wir nicht zurecht gekommen, aber die Ceranfelder und die Mikrowelle sowie der Wasserkocher haben uns auch gereicht.
