Macdonald Lochanhully Resort

The location was quiet, short drive from Aviemore. Excellent nature experience with rustic feel. Heaters worked well, black out curtains helped to provide peace from the long daylight hours. Kitchen was well stocked so we could cook. Heated towel rail was a nice added extra. Windows opened which meant we could regulate the temperature in the room. Great clean Windows to watch the nature outside the door.

Bed was particularly uncomfortable. It required a topper to make it less lumpy and hard. The electric shower was really noisy. The toilet didn't flush well.

Comfortable lodgings and quiet surroundings.Faclities in the lodge were first rate.Particularly liked the dining area conservatory.

The bar and restaurant were closed,no explanation forthcoming.

bit dated but clean

Spotlessly clean. Plenty of small but great towels. Comfy bed. Fantastic glass dining room. Kitchen small but excellent with good standard of cutlery and crockery. Great shower. Plenty of hot water. The ducks and duck pond.

Teeny tiny bedrooms. Ok for us but not for those with limited movement. Clothing storage ok just in bedrooms. No pavement to walk to a bar or restaurant 1 mile away. No bar or restaurant on site. One parking space allocated for a cabin for 4/6.

Lovely location and site. Beautiful stroll around the ponds. Quiet. Saw a red squirrel.

The accommodation was definitely feeling 'tired' in places. Very basic kitchen contents, no vegetable peeler and no small kitchen knife. The dining table has definitely seen better days! The dressing table stool was dangerous, about to break. Externally was tatty too. Overall, a great location but the property I stayed in felt forgotten.

Loved the peacecand quiet. Close to everything and the ducks waddling about. The play park is a nice addition for the younger kids

The bar for a quiet drink was not opened
