Plataran Menjangan Resort and Spa - CHSE Certified

We loved it so much we booked an extra day. The pictures and descriptions don’t do it justice. The staff is exceptional. The welcome when we arrived was the best we have had in all of Bali and surrounding islands. We have been traveling for 6 weeks here and we move every 3 days. We have seen a lot of different areas and stayed in 14 different places. Upon arriving we were greeted warmly and personally with a flower lei, cold coconut, cold towel, a seat at a beautiful view point from the lobby. They explained the resort to us and escorted us to our room. The room was jaw dropping!!!! I wish I could transport this accommodation back home and live in it permanently. Every last detail was thought out for us. The property is expansive with wildlife all over. The monkeys are not aggressive and delightful to watch. They deer are beautiful and were relaxing just outside the pool. Personal recommendation, do the complimentary daily activities offered by the resort. There is a morning nature walk. I loved the balinese snack making lesson with Tatik and Putu. So fun!!! My favorite experience was Mejejaitan class (ceremonial offerings) with Ariani. She is lovely and explained to me the history and meaning and made me feel so connected to the Balinese culture. It’s experienced like that is what makes this place so special! The staff all around is so pleasant and accommodating in the best of ways!!!!

Not a negative but a suggestion…The only thing I would say is to change the music up at oculus restaurant. It was the same songs on repeat. I only noticed it because we ate there 6 times in 3 days

We stayed in one of the Mangrove Villas, with Privat Beach only Deers and Monkey's shared the beach with us. We had a great time. Food was good, i had best calamare in my life. Super breakfast with fresh juice and fresh fruit. We could take a mountainbike without extra charge and make a tour in the Dschungel, it was a bitty that the Dschungel was so try, the need rain. We are going to do it again.

Amazing place, worth the drive and be sure to go to the island for snorkeling (hotel will arrange). Never seen anything like it.

Rooms are individual detatched villas with a veranda and open air bathroom. Ours had a plunge pool and an area with sun loungers as well as sofas on the veranda. The interior layout was excellent and the decoration very pleasing. Close to the lobby, it was quite a long walk to the breakfast/dining area, although there was a shuttle service if guests preferred. The spa was excellent.

The transfer from Denpasar airport took 5 hours, even leaving late in the afternoon. It's about a 15 minute drive from the hotel to the entrance of the park, along a VERY bumpy road.
