I like the pool and interior of the room.

I would recommend choosing some other places, the service we receive not as good like medium range homestay. May be if you prefer to have exceptional service you should be foreigner.

We felt the property had decent amenities . Room service and food.

The management was atrocious. We had issues with getting any assistance from them. They could not be bothered. There was a student strike going on which did not allow for any transportation. We were stranded at the hotel. They refused to help us. When my daughter asked for some form of compensation since they DID know about the strike in advance, the manager agreed to give us a free dinner. She said why did you not let your customers know in advance he gave us a shrug. Not his problem. When she wrote a review on Google about our predicament he had the audacity to take back his offer of a free meal. We were astounded that he was rude, insensitive and I could go on. They also made us wire 50 % up front one week prior. No hotel does that! Do not stay here. It is the worst hotel on the island.

We liked the rooms. They were big, clean, and comfortable. The bathrooms were also very large, which was nice. The whole place is very green and feels like a real tropical island, which we enjoyed. The location was good. Radhanagar Beach is only 2 km away and is beautiful. The walk was easy enough that even my wife, who was 6 months pregnant at the time, managed it without a problem. The pool was clean and a good place to relax. There is also a bus stop right outside, which is helpful, even though the hotel does not tell you this. When we reported the breakfast problem, the hotel fixed it quickly by management, which we appreciated.

A week before we arrived, we had problems with their payment system. It did not accept international Visa cards, and the only option was a bank transfer with high fees. We had to make several calls with booking dot com, and for a while we were worried, we might lose our booking. The hotel is not set up for modern Western payment options. Food and drinks were overpriced, and the Indian food was only average. One morning the breakfast buffet was completely empty at 9am because the staff could not handle a large group. Management did fix the problem after we told them. Elephant Beach was not worth the hype. It was overcrowded with local tourists, snorkelling boats, jet skis, and banana boats. The commercial activity took away from the natural beauty. The bathrooms were big but quite dark. There were many mosquitoes in the evening. This is normal across the Andaman Islands, not just the hotel, but it still made sitting outside uncomfortable. There is nothing around the hotel, so unless you have your own transport or are ready to pay high prices for taxis or rickshaws, you will end up eating only at the hotel. In the evenings, the bar music was very loud, especially on the first night. It seemed to come from the staff who were playing loud music even though there were no guests in the bar area. The music also does not match the tranquillity of the place. The volume could also be heard in the downstairs dining area which made it difficult to enjoy any meal in peace. After we told the manager, they did fix the problem, but it shouldn’t have been that loud in the first place. Poolside rooms get the most noise. There are only three sunbeds by the pool, which is not enough. Service in the restaurant was slow at times. The hotel also tells you not to use the bus, even though the bus stop is right outside. We enjoyed our stay, however the polished image portrayed in Instagram reels doesn’t quite match the real experience.
