Ideal location, beautiful setting and great room. The staff were helpful, friendly & polite. Housekeeping were particularly helpful & the room cleaned & linen etc changed daily. The food was very good, compliments to the Executive Chef. A great stay, would strongly recommend..

The room had only one large (king size) bed and we would have liked twin beds. This seems to be common in many hotels in India.

Charming ambience with greenery and unique decor. Staff members were very polite and helpful.

Some of the furnitures (chairs) are not comfortable having no back support.

Certain members of the staff were really good and helped make this holiday great for us. Special mention to Abhishek (looks after the restaurant operations & bar) who went out of his way to make sure that we are able to have a decent time there. Also Suraj at front desk was quite supportive. The cleanliness, good rental bikes etc were good. Thank you De Foret team

Food wasn’t food in general. Including breakfast which was sub par in terms of taste & preparation. Abhishek helped us out in identifying certain dishes which were better during dinner. However, overall mediocre / less than mediocre food. Location is slightly in the middle of nowhere, though really peaceful. So one needs to arrange for cabs/bikes to travel anywhere (inc Radhanagar beach)

Awesome place, huge rooms, delicious food and friendly staff made it an amazing experience. The property is simply stunning. And the food is among the best anywhere I’ve had. Chef Rajat takes special care of the guests’ tastes and preferences. The breakfast is lovely with a wide choice for vegetarians too. Every meal was memorable and a special mention for the walnut pie, which the chef recommended as a vegetarian dessert option. Packed one for the return trip. Tandoori dishes, Chinese, or the chef’s choice of lobster, were simply delicious. Restaurant staff also deserve a special mention for the attention they pay to the guests. Highlight of our Andaman trip.

Hotel is located in quiet place which is very suitable to us .Staff were very friendly and we enjoyed floating breakfast that was amazing

My father and I spent two nights at the charming and cozy De Foret resort. Location De Foret is situated on the western side of Swaraj Dweep Island (also known as Havlock Island), approximately 3 kilometers from the picturesque Radhanagar Beach. This beach, one of the few Blue Flag beaches in India, is renowned for its stunning beauty. The resort is nestled atop a small hill, almost concealed within the lush greenery. It’s conveniently located near Elephant Beach, which is about 2.5 kilometers away. This scenic route to Elephant Beach is accessible via a mildly challenging hiking trail. However, it’s essential to exercise caution when attempting this trail during or after heavy rains. The path becomes extremely muddy and treacherous due to the tree roots. The Experience We arrived at De Foret around 11:30 am and were promptly greeted with refreshing welcome drinks. The check-in process was swift, and we soon found ourselves in our beautifully appointed room. The resort’s structures are meticulously crafted from wood, seamlessly blending with the surrounding forest. De Foret boasts its own restaurant and bar, conveniently located next to a well-maintained swimming pool. The facilities in our room were adequate. We were provided with a 2-liter bottle of water and an ample supply of tea, coffee, milk, and other essentials. The room also featured a mini bar stocked with a limited selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The bathroom was spacious and well-stocked with toiletries. The hotel’s policy requires guests to inform the reception if they require any changes or want their room cleaned. For instance, during our second day of stay, we requested the replenishment of tea bags and water, and the request was promptly fulfilled. We opted not to bother with room cleaning as it was already in good condition. I appreciate this approach. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel’s fast and reliable free WiFi.
