Tulip Resort Pai

Very kind and friendly host. the room was beautiful and surrounding area was so nice. Good value for money!!! Would be hard to find a room like this at this price.

Not sure how to work on the hot water. I should have asked the host...

I had a very relaxing stay, enjoyed the sight of cows grazing in adjacent pastures against the background of surrounding mountains. The place is adjacent to a country road with only little traffic, the cute chalets are a 50m. away, there was no disturbance at all from this road. The bamboo chalets themselves are very cozy and nicely decorated, the queen size bed has mosquitoe netting, although didn't notice any mosquitoes or other insects at all! Plenty colourfull cushions everywhere, and a very nice veranda, provided with mattresses and more cushions.. even the bathroom looks cozy, but it's very practical at the same time!. There is a very cozy common area under a bamboo thatched roof with a raised bamboo floor nicely decorated with comfortable chairs, plenty cushions and a hammock. It's great to have breakfast there overlooking a cute little pond. Arpa, the owner is really supernice, such a sweet and kind lovely woman, she takes care of everything herself, and often over extends herself trying to please her guests. Breakfast is super, and I have only good words for her, I wish more people had only half of her kindness. There is a cute cat also, but allow her time to get accustomed to you.... A place to return to next time in Pai!

To walk to Pai Town takes about an hour, but if you have a bike it, takes 7- 8 minutes.

The hut was very relaxing and it was nice only hearing noises of nature! The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and spacious. Special mention to Arpar the host, she was lovely and couldn’t do enough for you. She makes a lovely muesli for breakfast for an extra 100 baht per person. We really enjoyed our stay!

The property is about a 10 minute drive from the town so great if you have a scooter but we sometimes struggled with taxis willing to take us back. The walk is about an hour which is nice in to do in the morning but not possible at night.

The decoration and the inner are really nice

Not enough warm water (the owner says u can find only in 5 star hotels in Pai) No isolation at the morning was cold , the neighbours told the same. The owner should buy an electric blow heater or smth

10min with motorbike to Pai, you need a bike. we had one, so everything was fine!

Amazing Host, felt very welcomed from the beginning. The room was perfectly clean and very nicely decorated. I was offered fresh green tea and local mango upon arrival at the property. The host lady is super nice and friendly. I had a great night of sleep and was served a very delicious homemade Müsli with fruit and hot mountain coffee from the area for breakfast. It was a great experience and I wish I could have stayed more than one night. I will happily visit again anytime!

Rooms are decorated nicely

It was just a big struggle. We contacted the host in advance via Booking that we would arrive a day later, but wanted to keep our booking as it was our fault and not hers and thus we wanted to pay for the night that we would not be there. Upon arrival, the host claimed to have no idea that we were still coming (despite multiple messages and already having paid) and she gave up our room to other guests which wanted to stay in our room longer and thus we had to move to HER bungalow for one night. This could be just a communication error but she was very much talking about how Booking would charge her fees if we did not show up and that we were costing her money (again, we already paid). She attributed the communication error to the fact that she does not speak very well English, but we translated our messages in Thai AND she was able to speak with us in English in person pretty well. Just the parts that would not be pleasent for her, she did not understand ;-). This ordeal kept coming up during our 3-night stay which is very unpleasant to constantly hear about Booking and money. She was also always around when we would walk around the premises (to and from our bungalow), speaking to us about it. The room itself was dirty with non washed blankets and there was a lot of hair and dirt in the shower from the previous guest. When I pointed that out, I was told I have a very good eyesight because no other person would be able to spot that (mind you, this hair clump was placed front and center in the shower). Can you imagine what is missed during cleaning… The premise itself is no more than 3 bungalows, the restaurant was closed and a total mess. Never again.

If you want peace, away from the noise of Pai centre - I highly recommend Tulip. Bungalows are cosy and very clean. Each patio has lush tall plants to give you some intimacy. Apah, the lady owner, is very kind and attentive. She also makes great veggie breakfast. Ask for muesli! If you want, she can order food for you delivered to your bungalow. Or even order a massage and masseur will come to you. it gets cold at night, Aoah can give you more blankets if needed (January). Get friendly with Maria, the cat:) This is a really lovely, quiet place. It's best to rent a scooter/bike in the center (e.g. Pai River Scooter) to get here. And from here ride to hot springs, strawberry fields, canyon or to Big Buddha.
