Machaan Wilderness Lodge Nagarahole

Everything from the food (healthy and tasty), the room, the staff, the property (very well maintained). We went to relax and that’s all we did. The greenery around is just amazing and like I said the way the property has been maintained was clean and very impressive. Want to give a special mention to the restaurant staff, all of them were great but to Sriram (hope we got his name right) and also to the hotel manager. We were taken great care of.

This was small for us but unfortunately they could not get our geyser to work but we didn’t mind at all.

property is good but very expensive not worth giving 13.5 k per day felt too much priced including food for one day they can charge around 7 k to 8k staff were too good

not much facilities like spa and other resort facilities were not there

The staff was incredibly hospitable and kind. Thank you especially Panish & Gowtham, for making our stay memorable! They made you feel most welcome and did everything to improve the stay. For example; we arrived just after the pool closed down, but they re-opened it just for us. They made a bonfire, just for us. We got a lunch on the day we were leaving even though technically that was not included. Very kind and attentive people. The Lodge itself was beautiful, very nice views (see picture), lots of wildlife and birds. Among many birds, we saw the gliding squirrel and the gliding dragon lizard. They staff (of which they had a few wildlife experts!) offered two different walks; one in the evening and one during the day. The food the lodge offered was amazing. The rooms spacious and clean. We also went on a safari in the nature park nearby, where we spotted lots of the local wildlife.

The location of this place was out of this world. it was a nature paradise and was immaculately clean. the staff were very helpful and polite and looked after us from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. it was a very pleasant experience.

there was nothing to dislike.

Great Location inside a coffee plantation. Staff was extremely supportive. The food was superb and digestible for no Indians as well. On arrival I had some stomach problems so the friendly kitchen staff even prepared a special meal for us.

The booking process caused some problem for me because after the booking.com confirmation I got an automated e-mail to transfer money to an Indian bank account ... while te booking was guaranteed by my Visa card. I discussed this with the management and they promised to fix this problem for their international guests.
