Chalona Hill View

This staff was very friendly and did everything to make me comfortable. Beautiful View in a nice atmosphere- the tent I was in was a surprisingly good experience.

The host and staff were very kind and helpful! They helped us sort our day out in Munnar and also arranged a super early taxi pick up to the bus station.

Location

We did not sleep in them but the tents had a beautiful view on the valley and it must be nice to spend the night and wake up in the morning there. Also we saw how the place could have been very nice if the staff was competent and if we had the room we actually booked.

-"Deluxe" (expensive 30000R ) bedroom : nothing special, small, not so clean (quickly cleaned before we arrived), the reservation said there was a bath and there was just a "weird" shower in the middle of the ceilling of the bathroom splashing everywhere... -The room was depicted has having "garden view" : it means no view at all but just trunks of big trees, jungle vibe ? -When we arrived the staff was not speaking english just few words but not enough... they made us order dinner in the middle of the day, and said we'll have dinner at 8.30 pm. We waited more than 40 minutes to eat. We didnt get what we ordered, we had to re-order 3 times, the food was nearly cold and didn't taste good at all. -The night before leaving we said we were leaving at 8 am. They said "no" ?? They wanted us to leave at 8h30 but we had a bus to take !! They finally agreed on 8.00 am. But on the morning, when we needed to check out, the manager was not here and the other staff member didnt know/couldnt do it. We waited 15minutes. Then we left leaving the money at the front desk because we didnt have time. -Finaaaally after the stay the manager sent me many messages on my Whatsapp saying that I needed to pay him 310 roupies more : I didnt know how much the "dinner"had cost exactly when we left (because THERE WAS NO BILL, and he was not even there for the ckeck out), he would keep asking me even if I told him many times I would pay him by transfer a week later bc we couldnt do it from a foreign country. He sent text like "Pay 310R." (no "please", no excuses for the bad experience) and was kind of rude.
