Le Village du Toubkal

We really enjoyed our time at Le Village du Toubkal. With wonderful hospitality and delicious food, we felt like we had been given a truly authentic Moroccan experience. We also loved the mule ride organised for us during our stay! A relaxing couple of days with the family which was made so special by the care and attention we recieved throughout our stay. We would absolutely recommend this little gem in the mountains.

Just one thing WIFI

It’s a beautiful hotel with the most stunning views! The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to help us. They organised our transfer from Marrakesh and a 2 day hike in the Atlas Mountains (which was fantastic!!).

Breakfast was basic- bread, jam, butter, a very hard-boiled egg, and Moroccan crepe each. It needed some fruit! If you stay for dinner, there isn’t a choice about what to eat. We had dinner there the first night and were served soup followed by chicken tagine. The tagine was very dry and there were no vegetables with the meal, just bread. We ate in town the second night. It would be nice to be able to choose what to eat, considering it is an expensive meal.

Was a great place to stay in Imlil (not in the center but a beautiful view over the mountains). It’s a bit of a bumpy road to get there but the hotel room was big and the bathtub amazing! So was as well the dinner and the breakfast!

The staff was super friendly, we got a warm welcome with tea, and parking the van wasn’t a problem even during our two day hike of Toubkal. The views are amazing.

We were told, that the room we had actually booked didn’t exist anymore, although it seemed it was just overbooked and we still had to pay the same price. They tried their best by giving us the next best room (family room). There was no room service and no hot water until evening. Breakfast was okay but nothing special. In general it just doesn’t match the description and pictures on their website.

Fantastic staff, so friendly and helpful. Very quiet location. Very good dinner and great value.

Everything! The location, breakfast, dinner… great hiking in the area, and we got a free upgrade to the suite!
